Event Wizard LoadModule BMEventGUI30.exe failed, return 2 Error |
|||||
&
nbsp;
This is a windows-related error, as follows:
You are most likely running a copy of Bsetup30.exe on your desktop, not a shortcut.
If you look at the Bsetup icon on your desktop, it most likely does NOT
have a little curved arrow showing that it is a shortcut. Instead, the
actual file Bsetup30.exe has been copied to the desktop. Thus, the
program runs from the desktop, as its "environment", not the proper
directory, which is c:\brainm.20.
When they try to run the Event Wizard, it looks on the desktop for the program
and does not see any file for it, and errors out. The file it is trying to run
is actually still in c:\brainm.20.
Have them delete their desktop icon (first make sure a copy of bsetup30.exe
exists in c:\brainm.20, if someone dragged it by "moving" it to the desktop, then
the copy was removed from c:\brainm.20. It is important that a copy of
the file bsetup30.exe be present in the directory c:\brainm.20. First make
sure of this.
Then remove the desktop file that is there.
Then remake a desktop shortcut to c:\brainm.20\bsetup30.exe by finding the
file in Explorer, then right-clicking on it, and selecting "Send to / desktop /
create shortcut".
That should solve these errors.
Tom
And the problems were solved – Great! Thanks!
